Totus Tuus Web Videos, Archdiocese of Omaha

TOTUS TUUS ("Totally Yours") is a fun and energetic parish-based summer catechetical program, for both grade school age children and junior and senior high school youth. The program director gathers together college students and seminarians into teams of four to train and send them out to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ in various parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Omaha. The youthfulness, energy, and ability to witness to the Faith make the teachers particularly effective with children and young people.

Technical Notes

This project showcases StoryTel's ability in the green screen and compositing arts. We opted to produce this in front of a green screen to help us match the final product with the emotion of the interviews.

We developed creative solutions to meet our budget for the project by leveraging the flexibility of computer generated backgrounds against the constraints of amature photographs from past Totus Tuus classes. The result allowed us to avoid filming "B-Roll" (the costly, but highly visual footage normally used to keep a viewer's interest throughout interviews) yet still offer viewers visually attactive scenes.
